Who are Faith in Action?

The Faith in Action Group is a student-led organisation dedicated to living out our school’s values through service, compassion, and community engagement. Rooted in faith, we strive to make a meaningful difference by putting our beliefs into action—whether through volunteer work, fundraising for important causes, or supporting those in need.

Our group welcomes all students who are passionate about kindness, justice, and making the world a better place. Through prayer, reflection, and hands-on service projects, we seek to grow in faith while positively impacting our school, local community, and beyond.

Join us as we turn our values into action and work together to create a more loving, compassionate world! We meet every Friday lunch in F1. See Mrs Wallbank for more information.

“We are a group of dedicated students who commit to charity fundraising. This is done out of faith and stewardship.”

“We are a passionate community of students who are always willing to lead in charitable appeals, and encourage others members of our school family to do the same.”

“We are involved in weaving the Catholic faith into the life of the school”

What Activities do we Lead?

The Faith in Action group take a leadership role in various ways around St Patrick’s:

  • Taking part in Advent services
  • Ministering the ashes on Ash Wednesday
  • Organising our Remembrance Service
  • Leading Celebration of the Word
  • Lead school assemblies to promote Advent appeals to Cornerstone and Woodstreet Mission
  • Create resources for different appeals during Lent and Advent
  • Create post communion reflections for school Mass
  • Take a lead role in Wednesday prayer
  • Make decisions on what charities to support and how
  • Run activities for our feeder primary schools

What’s does the Future Look Like for Faith in Action?

Moving forward, we want our plans for a Prayer Garden to come to fruition, to provide a place for all members of our school community to reflect. We love fundraising and want to do more of this for important causes, outside of times like Advent and Lent.

Starting this year, we will be completing the diocesan led Faith in Action Award.
