At St Patrick’s, we believe that homework is a vital part of a pupil’s educational journey and spiritual growth. Rooted in our Catholic values of responsibility, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence, homework provides an essential bridge between classroom learning and independent study. It encourages our pupils to take ownership of their learning, develop strong study habits, and deepen their understanding of the curriculum.
We view homework not as a standalone task, but as an opportunity to reinforce classroom teaching, extend knowledge, and prepare pupils for future learning. Through regular, purposeful homework, we aim to foster self-discipline, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning, all within a supportive framework guided by faith and the Gospel values.
Working in partnership with families, we strive to ensure that homework is meaningful, manageable, and inclusive for all our pupils, enabling every child to flourish academically, spiritually, and personally.
