Our Five Year Curriculum

Business Studies Curriculum Map 2021-22

By studying a GCSE in Business students are equipped with the skills and confidence to explore how different business situations affect decision-making. They develop their understanding of concepts, objectives and terminology, and the impact of contemporary issues on business operations.

Pupils are introduced to business concepts and issues concerning the activities of a business. They explore the purpose and role of a business from spotting an opportunity through to the growth of an established business. They also look at the role of marketing and human resources.

Pupils undertake regular assessments and learn key exam technique which will be reinforced over the remainder of the course

Pupils have the opportunity to learn from real life businesses, this includes a Business Studies trip and talks from MMU.
