A 200 strong audience of parents, governors, Staff and Head teacher was treated to a two hour exclusive celebration of St Patrick’s pupils’ and our partner Primary Schools pupils’ artistic talents show-cased at The Studio Theatre at the Lowry, in June.

This prestigious event included a very varied programme.  There was music from our exceptional school choir and  our all-girls Rock group, a fashion show presented by Year 11 Art and Design pupils using the professional ‘catwalk’ facilities in the studio theatre.  There was  a number of inspiring short plays presented by the Drama Club and BTEC  Drama department, alongside a selection of innovative short animated films created by Year 6 and 7 pupils. Finally, we were entertained by a selection of humorous contemporary films using digital media in a thoroughly  original way presented by Year 11 BTEC e-media pupils.

You could say there was something there to suit all tastes. All of the work was of a high standard from very professional pupils. ‘It was uplifting and remarkable. We really do have some exceptionally gifted pupils’.

The evening was dedicated to  Ross Carroll a pupil from Holy Cross and All Saints Primary School who sadly died two years ago before his animated film was completed. All of his  family was there to watch the first showing of his film that included footage of both Ross himself his amazing animated character.
